Derek Addison –
Purchased this kit to replace an old Henderson unit (25+ years old). I found it easy to fit and it works well. I like the idea of a separate PSU – it enables the relay contacts to be kept "potential free" which could be useful if troubleshooting. DIY installers should note that the terminal screws are VERY small, and that a standard sized electrician’s terminal screwdriver will not fit them. I have instrument screwdrivers, so this was not a problem for me. I would also say that the bell wire supplied with the kit is awful – it snaps too easily and is consequently difficult to strip to the desired length. I used a short length of intruder alarm cable (7/0.2) for the short link between the motor unit and the receiver.
Service from GDL was good.
