- Apex garage door Spring used on the original retractable Apex Bolton BL6 garage doors, for the larger double-width doors.
- The spring has metal inserts screwed into the top and bottom of the spring which is unique to this particular spring (please see close-up images).
- When replacing garage springs, it is recommended to replace both springs at the same time, to ensure the spring tension and door remain balanced and damaged is not caused to your lift arms due to twisting.
- Used on most Apex double car-width retractable doors from the early 1980’s up until around early 2000 when Apex went bust. If your door is a single car-width, then this uses a smaller spring (see our related products area below) and has metal inserts screwed into the top and bottom of the spring.
- These springs are obsolete, we have a limited quantity of these springs available.
